Q&A: Have you ever won something from a “free” offer?
Question by Keee.: Have you ever won something from a “free” offer?
I would like to know if it’s worth my time to go and fill out online forms to see if I am able to win a “free” iPod or Laptop or TV or ANYTHING! Have you, personally or someone you know actually got a worthy gift for free from online advertising that claim to send you them? Thanks(:
If yes, PLEASE send me a legit link. I’m looking for a good free iPad giveaway to give to my uncle who’s gonna become to pastor and he wants all his three bibles on it so it can be convenient(:

No.

I’ve never seen one… they always have a catch. You have to have so many club points, for example. How do you get the points? Pay money to gamble. Or you have to pay to get the “free” item shipped.

LikeDislikeI won a bag of chicken feed once at a Saturday morning matinee of a Hoot Gibson or Lash LaRue movie in 1954. Otherwise I haven’t had any success in what you mentioned, nor raffles held by churches, civic groups and whatnot. I still buy an occasional raffle ticket for the volunteer fire department or library but I don’t harbor any illusions about winning anything.
I occasionally get an offer for a laptop free but I don’t pursue it. Can’t imagine why anyone would want to give me a laptop free.

LikeDislikeMost of those free offers require that you sign up for about 15 to 20 trial offers and not cancel them within a certain time frame. You’ll be hard pressed to keep track of how to cancel each one before they charge you and each one will probably charge you about $ 100 or more for something that’s pretty much useless. They have 1-800 numbers to call to cancel but good luck on getting through. When you cancel, you have to ship some of the stuff back to them but chances are you already opened the package and can’t send it back. Also, these are third party offers, they could very well be just some identity theft gang advertising to collect personal information in order to steal your identity. A nice leather bound bible will last far longer than any digital bible. The bible was one of the first books available electronically but do you see anyone still reading it from their Apple II+ or TRS-80 model 1? Do you even see anybody with that old digital bible on cassette tape? It was the same type of tape as audio tape. Or how about the bible on paper tape from the 70′s? Punch cards anyone?

LikeDislikeEven for wonderful people who want to become pastors, there will be no free iPads.
As other people mentioned, any of these “free” offers involves spending so much time and money on other things, that you could have bought 2 iPads by the time you’re done.
