I am doing this referral system and they said this “Please note: Use of the Apple iPhone requires a 2 year service contract with AT&T. Activation is required and service plan costs are not included with this offer. Prices and Plans vary by location.”
Does that mean before I get my free IPhone would I have to sign a two year contract or no?

Most phone sales in the U.S. are at far under the cost of the phone the carrier recover their contribution from the $ 700 to $ 1500 paid over the 2 year contract, there are 3 US carriers that handle iPhones now, their terms is probably old recycled legal copy.
Few people manage to actually collect those ‘free’ items, even those offers abiding to the law avoid giving out the prizes by putting up a near impossible number of hoops to jump through, besides the typical 9 product trial signups that may rebill your credit card if you fail to cancel, some requiring you to recruit others who also must complete all requirements really lessens your chances of collecting.
Many of these offers give you the option to take the cash.
The odds are you are wasting you time in this pursuit. Many will tell you they re scams that no one wins at.
